By the end of this video, you’ll have six promotional tips that can be your go to full proof plan for growing your email list.

Newsletter Promotion Strategy 1

Provide a good lead magnet. Now a lead magnet is something that you are offering in exchange for someone’s signing up to be on your newsletter list or your email marketing list.

It should be something from you that you’ve created and it should be relevant to the exact types of people that you want to attract to your practice. So it can be an d-book, it can be a checklist that you’ve created. It could be a report, it can be an article in pdf form format.

Again, it should be specifically relevant to the types of people that you want to attract and the content should be, either on a pain point that they are experiencing or a subject matter that is really relevant to them. Something that they want so badly that they are prepared to offer you their email address to get it.

Some of the things that I’ve seen done in the past, are, as I mentioned the e-books, but an example of a pdf checklist would be something along the lines of “Five signs it’s time to go in and see your doctor”, or something similar to that.

It doesn’t have to be super time consuming for you to create, but definitely relevant to your ideal target market.

Newsletter Promotion Strategy 2

Utilize the power of social media.

Go on all of the social media platforms that you frequent and let people know that you have an email newsletter list and you’d like them to sign up; and provide them with a link.

Speaking of social media, I would love to know if you would comment below which social media platforms do you hang out on most often.

Newsletter Promotion Strategy 3

Your blogs are a great avenue for promoting your email marketing newsletters sign up.

All you have to do is at the end of your blog, mentioned that you have a newsletter and you’d love for people to sign up and provide them with the link.

Strategy 4

Make sure that you are utilizing your website to help you promote your email marketing sign up.

You should have a form, ideally on the homepage of your website, and off to the side. It should be in what we consider the top fold of your homepage, which means that top third section that appears right away on your screen.

When somebody logs onto your website, it should be one of the first things that they see, so make sure that you’ve got a form that just asks for their first name and their email address.

If you ask too many questions like their last name or their address or their phone number or their city, state or zip. Too much information tends to put people off all you really need as their first name and their email address on the signup form that’s on the homepage of your website.

Now, speaking of your website, if you’re looking to get the most out of your website, I’ve created another blog called, ” Keywords achieve more than you think“. Just click here for more information.

Strategy 5

Have an in office set up.

There are a number of practitioners that I know that have a signup form that is in with all of the new client paperwork that they have in their office.

When somebody comes in and becomes a new client of theirs, it’s just simply a part of the paperwork and it offers to allow somebody to sign up to be on your newsletter list and received information from you on a regular basis.

Strategy 6

Newsletter Promotion Prescription

Last but not least, promotional tip number six, have a sign up sheet with you when you’re going to be appearing at an event or a workshop. It’s a great opportunity for people who are experiencing your brilliance for the first time to sign up to hear from you.

I have a very successful practitioner client who was savvy enough to create her signups on a small, a three by five pad of paper that looks a lot like a prescription pad. There is a blurb along the top that explain what her newsletter list is, and a place for their first name, their email address, and the date.

She keeps it with her in her purse so that wherever she’s at, whether she is speaking at an event or doing a workshop, she can simply pull it out of her purse and allow for people to sign up to be on her news letter list.

Opportunities to promote your practice are everywhere. It’s just a matter of seizing the opportunity.

Now you know exactly what strategies to use to promote your email marketing subscriber list. But what about the process of setting up your email marketing? Well, I’ve written a book on this subject and we cover it all, in easy to follow step by step instructions. The good news is it’s free and the link is right here.
