Marketing without burnout, may seem like a lofty goal, but it really is possible.

The struggle for many private practice owners however has been figuring out exactly how to do this.

There are so many things to attend to when marketing a practice, you can easily get drawn into all the details and tasks leaving you feel like you’re chained to your computer.

Pretty soon you find that you are spending time on these tasks and it’s pulling you away from the work you love.

But I’m here to tell you, it’s possible.

Follow this simple blueprint and you’ll be well on your way to growing your practice with peace of mind.

Marketing Without Burnout Requires Strategy

Your first step in marketing without burnout is going to be to plan your strategy. For example, what marketing strategies will you focus on to accomplish your goal?

This may include:

  • Video
  • Blogging
  • Social Media
  • Advertising
  • Email Marketing
  • Speaking
  • Networking

This list can go on, but you get the idea here. One of the best ways to accomplish marketing without burnout is to choose 3 to start with. The goal is to keep this as simple as possible to avoid any overwhelm.

Marketing Without Burnout Requires a Plan

Once you know what your marketing strategy is, you’ll want to draw the details out into a plan.

This is going to require you to think about how you’ll use these strategies.

Your main goal should be to appear as though your practice is seen everywhere, which will require careful planning on your part.

In many cases you’ll want to ensure that one is feeding off of the other and is done so consistently.

The more times people are able to see your name, the more memorable you’ll become.

Then you’ll be top of mind when it comes time for them to make purchasing decisions.

Time to Delegate

This is the step where I see many private practice owners struggle.

They tend to take all of it on themselves which drives them straight into burnout.

You are the captain of this ship. As such, you need to always be looking at things from a 35,000 foot view.

It’s the only way you’ll be able to stay objective and make smart decisions about which direction to be going in and where to focus time, energy and dollars.

You can’t do that if you are doing it all alone and chained to your computer attending to all of the little details AND seeing clients in between.

Marketing without burnout is going to require that you delegate some of these responsibilities to others.

You may be thinking, “That sounds great but I’m still in the early stages. I don’t have a large team of people to delegate to.”

I understand. That’s ok. But when it comes to some of the simple marketing steps, can you ask a friend, neighbor, or family member to help out?

Perhaps there is a teenager in your neighborhood who loves social media who can help you.

Or maybe you know someone at a nearby high school or college who is majoring in writing who can write a few blogs or email campaigns. This can also be helpful if you need help creating videos.

You’re really only limited by your imagination here. But once you broaden your thinking, you’ll see that there are many ways to be marketing without burnout by simply delegating some responsibilities to free up your time.
